Survey of Women’s Health in the ACT

Help us make women’s health visible.

The second Survey of Women’s Health in the ACT is now complete, with the findings available in the full report. A summary is also available.

The Survey of Women’s Health in the ACT is supported by Snow Foundation and is the main way we learn about the state of women’s health in our local community.

Our surveys provide a chance for women and femme-identifying people, and anyone who aligns themselves with these groups, to share their experiences and help Women’s Health Matters keep working to improve women’s health and wellbeing in the ACT.

We successfully ran the survey in 2024-25, receiving over 1300 responses.

The findings have been used to:

  • Inform and develop new services
  • Help government and other funders work out what kinds of health care are most needed in our community; and
  • Equip Women’s Health Matters to advocate for better systems to support women’s health.

The survey covers topics including:

  • Mental health
  • Experiences of using health services
  • Experiences of discrimination, violence and safety
  • Contraception
  • Menopause
  • Pregnancy and maternity services
