INFORMATION DEVELOPED FOR ACT WOMEN
Women’s Health Matters has developed the following information resources for ACT women.
The Survey of Women’s Health in the ACT is the main way we learn about the state of women’s health in our local community.
The 2024 edition of the survey will open in November so keep an eye on this page!
We successfully ran the survey in 2022-23, receiving over 1600 responses. You can read the report here.
The findings have been used to:
- Inform and develop new services
- Help government and other funders work out what kinds of health care are most needed in our community, and
- Equip Women’s Health Matters to advocate for better systems to support women’s health.
The survey is a chance to share your experiences and help us keep working to improve women’s health and wellbeing in the ACT.
The survey will be open to all women and femme-identifying people, and anyone who aligns themselves with these groups, as long as they are 18 years or older and live in the ACT or surrounding region.
The survey covers topics including:
- Mental health
- Experiences of using health services
- Experiences of discrimination, violence and safety
- Contraception
- Menopause
- Pregnancy and maternity services
