Local women’s stories
Check out stories from local ACT women who have shared their experiences of physical and mental health wellbeing.
It is hoped that their stories help to raise awareness and that readers will connect on a personal level with the women and their illnesses, helping to reduce stigma and discrimination.
If you want to share your own story, we would love to hear from you!
Please email us at admin@womenshealthmatters.org.au with the subject “local story” and your full name and we’ll get in touch. You can share as little or as much with us as you would like, we’ll aim to share it on our website and social media. Sharing your story is all about empowering other women and feeling empowered.

Women of Canberra Photography Documentary
Women of Canberra is an online documentary by Women’s Health Matters. It presents the photos and stories of 100 women who call Canberra home. Each of the women come from different walks of life, but share common narratives and stories about their experiences and their aspirations as women of Canberra.
