Raising Respect
What is Raising Respect?
Raising Respect was a project funded by ACT Government to help equip parents and carers when talking to their children and others about respect, gender equality and inclusion.
In 2023, Women’s Health Matters ran sessions with parents and carers to share information and ideas on these issues. We also created a brochure.
The idea behind the project was that as parents and carers, we want our children to be safe, connected, and free to grow as their unique selves.
To make this happen, we need to learn how to challenge disrespect and gender stereotypes.
We can all make a difference. Read our brochure below to learn more!
Raising Respect brochure
Our Raising Respect brochure has tips and ideas for:
- Supporting children to develop as themselves
- Helping children navigate media and peer relationships
- Challenging stereotypes in the places where your child learns and plays
Request physical copies of the brochure by emailing healthpromotion@womenshealthmatters.org.au
