Health in My Language update July

Thanks to renewed funding, Women’s Health Matters will continue delivering the Health in My Language program beyond June, further supporting culturally and linguistically diverse communities to access in-language health information in the ACT. The focus will be on key health priority areas, including cancer screening, mental health, and sexual and reproductive health, empowering migrant and refugee to make informed decisions about their health.

We are also in the process of developing of new in-language Where to Go video resources, which will direct users to the services available to meet different health needs at low and no cost in Canberra. These resources will be launched in August.

A new factsheet will also be released with information on where to go for support if you experience domestic, family, or sexual violence in the ACT and a wallet resource to help when responding to disclosures of violence. Keep an eye on our website and social media channels for the release of these resources!
