The Reproductive Health Data Incentive Fund (RHDIF) has secured funding under the ACT Budget for the next 12 months. This continued support will enable the program to expand the network of participating providers, supporting continued delivery of no cost medication abortions for ACT residents.
The new funding will also allow us to perform in-depth data analysis with the goal of better capturing the needs of women in the ACT, as well as work to increase community awareness of the program.
We are continuing to explore the potential inclusion of nurse practitioners within the program. Scoping is currently underway to determine how this workforce could contribute to service delivery, improve access to care, and enhance outcomes for people seeking abortions in the ACT.
It is wonderful to see this continued investment in sexual and reproductive health from the ACT Government, as we seek to increase abortion accessibility and affordability in the ACT.
